Almond Milk

Making your own almond milk is not only quick and easy, but it guarantees freshness and is free from additives and preservatives.  You will need a nut milk bag or muslin cloth for a really smooth result.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almonds
  • 2 cups filtered water

Instructions

  1. Cover the almonds in water for a minimum of 2 hours, then strain.
  2. Add the almonds and the filtered water into a blender and blitz on high speed for 30 seconds.
  3. Strain the liquid into a jug lined with a muslin cloth or nutmilk bag and squeeze gently until all the almond milk has come through.
  4. You can keep the nut pulp to add to smoothies or make muesli bars, muffins or cakes.
