Make this for the littlies or make them for the adults, everyone will love them. They’re chocolatey and crunchy, you can snack on them or add your favourite milk for a delicious and satisfying breakfast cereal. Better than the store-bought varieties that contain approx 17gms of sugar per serve, this recipe comes just under 5 grams per serve.
Ingredients
- 4 cups gluten free rice puffs
- 3 tablespoons coconut oil
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoons honey
Instructions
- In a small pot, combine the coconut oil, cocoa powder and honey and simmer for a few minutes until well combined.
- Place the rice puffs in a large bowl and drizzle the cocoa mixture all over it and combine well with a wooden spoon until the puffs are well coated.
- Then divide the mixture between 2 baking trays and bake at 160 degrees for 9 minutes.
- Remove from the oven immediately and stir with a wooden spoon to remove clumps.
- Once cooled, you can store them in a jar for up to 1 month.
